Poncho

Hi everyone! You might remember me as Poncho, but these days I go by Chico—and I LOVE my new name!

I've settled into my forever home and have discovered that my favorite thing in the world is being as close to my human as possible. If there's a lap available, I'm in it. If there's a spot next to my person, it's mine. Snuggling is definitely my specialty!

I'll admit, I had a bit of a rough start. On my first trip to the vet, I wasn't too sure about the whole situation. Those blue gloves were very suspicious! I may have gotten a little nippy, but I'm learning that not everything new is scary.

I have a dog brother and sister, and while we're still figuring things out, we mostly tolerate each other. To be honest, I'm pretty sure my human belongs to me, so I can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to steal my spot!

One thing I do know is that I LOVE meeting new people. And my human sister? She's the best! We have so much fun together, and I love spending time with her.

I've even become quite the traveler—I recently took a day trip to Canada to visit my great-grandma! Not every rescue pup gets an international adventure!

Overall, I'd say I'm living a pretty great life and doing my best to be the goodest boy. Thank you to everyone who helped me find my forever family!
