poet

Hi everyone! You might remember me as Poet, but these days I go by Foss!

Life in my forever home is pretty awesome. My family says I made house training easy because I started letting them know when I needed to go outside almost right away. I guess my foster family taught me some important things before I left—thanks, foster family!

I'm a smart guy, too. I learned "sit," "stay," and "lay down" super fast. My humans seem impressed, but honestly, I just like showing off a little. 😎

Now, being smart comes with responsibilities...like testing the rules. Apparently, "no chew" means I'm not supposed to chew certain things. I definitely know what it means because I stop when I'm told. But sometimes I like to see if maybe the rules have changed in the last 10 seconds. A little bark, a little bounce, and maybe one more nibble for good measure. My humans try to stay serious, but I can tell they're holding back laughter!

I have more toys than I know what to do with, including some really cool puzzle toys that keep my brain busy. They're one of my favorite things because I love figuring stuff out.

I also spend lots of time playing with my big brother, Haze. We get plenty of exercise together, and I'm growing fast! I'm already 13 pounds, and everyone keeps talking about how huge my paws are. Apparently, that's a clue that I might get bigger than expected. We'll see!

One of my favorite friends isn't even a dog—it's a baby bunny who hangs out in our garden. We like to play hide-and-seek together. Don't worry, I never chase him, and he never seems scared. I think we're just two babies having fun. 🐰❤️🐶

I'm healthy, happy, up to date on my vaccines and deworming, and I have my rabies appointment coming up soon. My family even got a DNA test, so we'll find out what mix I am before long. Whatever the results are, I know one thing for sure: I've found the perfect family.

Thank you to everyone who helped me get here!

Love,Foss 🐾❤️
